#18 on Greenhaven in Anoka Minnesota is a realtively short par 4. The card has it listed as 344 from the blacks. It runs 300 yards straight away, then doglegs hard left the last 50 yards to the green. As a crow flies, it's 290 from the tees, but protected by a pond in front and some mature trees around it.
As a lefty, I would have to hit a big fade from the tucked tees to carry the water and clear the trees. After I hit, initially thought my shot was way off, both short and left. But after several seconds, we heard the group in front of us whooping and hollering. Lo and behold, as they were clearing the green, my ball landed 15' from the cup and rolled right up and into the cup.
They waved me down and we all shared a beer and a story after the round. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the ball land in the cup, but knew it was mine, as I was hitting my personalized Pro V1x.
