Getting around in before starting the work day is my favorite thing to do. A 6:10am tee time at my local, not so great course but with great friends. We were the second foursome out, I was struggling on the front nine. Number 10 at Ocean Acres Golf Club in NJ is pretty formidable...it is a peninsula green and decent yardage (157) and the wind was blowing in, adding about 5 yards or so. To make it worse the rising sun was causing a glare. I selected a 6 iron, my 165 club, and had a pure swing that I knew at impact had the distance. It was headed for the pin when it disappeared in the glare. My whole foursome lost sight of the ball, but my one buddy was convinced he heard the pin "click". As we rode up to the green, that same friend was running through scenarios...the ball was not on the green, it was heading dead at the pin, it could not have been long. My other buddy got out his camera and starting filming me before I even got to the hole because there was a chance...and there it was!
