  1. After playing golf a lot the past few summers, I felt like it was time to get more of a players iron instead of my TM RBZ. I was fitted at Club Champion for T100 irons and Sm8 Vokey Wedges. In just my third round since having the new clubs, I would be going back to the course I played the most growing up in Oswego, NY, Battle Island Golf Course. I had quite the round going but I was just having fun and not thinking much of it... Until hole 6. I hit my 52 gap wedge to a 120 yard par three that is down a huge hill with woods all around it and water behind. From the tee, you can not see the pin so you have to walk up a ways to get a sense of where to hit. I hit a low shot since we were above the green, and it drew in towards the middle perfectly. As I was watching I remember my uncle John Moore saying “that looks really good.” As the ball landed I began walking toward the cart path to see where it was. From the top of the hill I couldn’t tell if the ball was in the hole or right next to it because the foam from corona virus made the ball sit up higher in the cup. The excitement was growing and I told my uncle it could be my first hole in one and he agreed! I didn’t want to get too excited though because I couldn’t tell for sure. Adding to the drama, I had to wait for my uncle to hit his shot still! As we drove down the hill up to the green it was clear that it was in! I hit my first hole in one at the age of 28, while previously writing the accomplishment off as something that would just never happen to me no matter how much I played. I was ecstatic and ran up to the green and began to take a video so my friends would have proof! It was a great day afterwards on the boat on Lake Ontario with my family. A day later I am still replaying that hole in my mind. It is truly an amazing feeling I will never forget. And it was great to achieve it with my uncle at the course where my love for golf all started.
