I teed off as a single in the afternoon of July 15. Ironically it was the 8th anniversary of my Dad's passing who got us into golf at an early age. I played the first 7 holes alone but when I got to the 8th tee at TPC Southwind, there was another single waiting on the tee and a 4-some on the green. Mike (the single) said that we might as well play the last two holes together since we will be waiting on the 4-some anyway. Mike hit first into the 148 yd par 3 (slight wind at us) and hit it to 3 feet. I teed up my Titleist Velocity and hit a 9 iron (a little low) that bounced just short of the greens and rolled straight up the sloped green directly into the hole. My first hole-in-one and on a day that I always remember by Dad with a glass of his favorite Scotch.
