Tuesday, July 21st was a typical golf day at the City of Mason Golf Center (AKA Grizzly) and we had 3 foursomes, except that this week I opted OUT of the money games due to poor performance on my part the previous days. So, there was no money for our "points game" or the "closest to the pin game". Unfortunately for me, this was to be my BEST day on the golf course in a very long time. In fact, probably my BEST EVER! I shot 46 on the front and 39 on the back for a total of 85. But the best part was the hole-in-one I shot on the West Course, #5.
It was 138 yards from the white tees to the pic on my rangefinder, so I picked out my 9 iron and swung away. It WAS a nice shot, but I had no idea it was going to land softly and roll right into the hole. I was shocked and so were the guys. A ranger was just over to the side watching and came up and asked me my name. He took off and went to the Pro Shop where he told them of my shot. An hour later, after dropping off my cart at the cart barn, I walked into the Pro Shop to a small crowd of people clapping and signing my praise. It was so much fun and I was so happy. I want to thank all of my friends at the Pro Shop and my golf buddies too for allowing me to share my happiness with all of them.
And so, here I am on the Titelist web site, registering my HIO and telling my story. Many thanks to you all at Titelist for making this available to me. It's the BEST!
