16th Hole at Lake of Isles North Course. 175 yard downhill par 3 playing 148. Slight breeze in my face. I'm hitting last on the tee. All my buddies try to hit 9-irons and ALL come up short. I grab my 8-iron. The pin is in the middle. Plenty of room to go a little long I thought. Distance to the back of the green playing about 165. The tee is 75 feet above the green. The ball seems to stay in the air forever. Everyone is quiet, Tom yells "get in the hole"! The ball lands two feet past the pin and spins back for and ACE!
