I almost didn’t play golf this evening due to the storm warnings in the DC Metro Area. However, the temperatures had cooled and I decided to have a go at it.
I decided to go out to my home course, Falls Road in Potomac, Maryland. I joined a group of guys on Hole #5 — one of my favorite par-3’s in the region. The tips were measuring 157 yards to a pin placement in the front of the green. I teed up the yellow AVX and hit the green.
I was in disbelief when the guys I was playing with said “hole-in-one.” The most recent hole-in-one I had was 24 years ago on the old Hole #6 (now Hole #3) at Lincoln Trail Country Club in Vine Grove, KY. And that one was in July and hit from the tips as well.
