  1. Name: Angelo Brutico III On Friday July 17th, 2020 I made my first hole-in-one on hole 11 at The Country Club of Scranton while playing with my dad, Angelo Brutico Jr. From the blue tee box, I was 143 yards away from the pin. After debating between playing a soft 9 Iron or playing my full Pitching Wedge, I decided to go with my Pitching Wedge. I took my swing, and with a very thin shot, pulled the ball to the left of the pin not necessarily where I was originally aiming. I saw the ball land 3 feet from the pin and roll backwards into the hole. I will never forget that distinct sound of my Titleist Pro V1 #6 hitting the pin in the cup. Although I saw the ball roll in the cup, it didn’t really hit me or my dad at first until another member, Ken R, who was on the 10th green behind us also witnessed the shot and said to me, “congratulations!” The story however doesn’t stop there. On June 4th, 1972 my grandfather, Angelo Brutico Sr, using an 8 Iron also made his first hole-in-one on the same hole, hole 11. My grandfather passed away in 2013 so it was pretty special 48 years later to make my first hole-in-one on the same course and same hole while playing with my dad.
