After 20 years of playing golf and having at least six near misses for an ace I assumed that it wasn't going to happen. Well on 8-17-2020 at the near end of another mediocre round I was shown why Golf is the greatest game. I stood at the tee box for the 17th hole at Pitman Golf Course in Pitman NJ thinking its almost over. I placed my Titleist Pro VI on the tee and took a swing that I will never forget. The ball hit the green 30 yards short of the flag and from that point on everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. My playing partners and I watched not caring too much at first but as the ball continued to roll and roll and roll we started to scream go, go, go in and the ball disappeared into the cup. What a feeling, I am not sure what the stats are as far as the number of amateurs who play golf and the percentages are for making a hole in one but I am thrilled to be on the plus side of that formula.
