Playing Ironwood GC with Jeff and Don. Coming down the home stretch into #17 on the Birr, already on track to be beat my lowest score of the season. On the tee box for the par 3, drop my AVX onto the grass and shoot the laser. 124 yards to the stick. Line up with my pitch wedge take an easy tempo swing. Whack! The thing is on point from the start. Distance looks good, no fade. Lands 14 feet 2 feet to the left of the pin and we all watch in slow motion as it hops once and then rides the break down to the cup. Then disappears...no way! I just hit my first ace of my life. Hopefully, a few more to come!
