Was struggling early in the round, +9 through 8. Was going to be a grind as it began sprinkling. But then a rainbow appeared, the rain moved out, birdied hole 9. Made the turn, par on hole 10. Pull up to hole 11, shorter par 3, over some water with water left and bunker. I shot the distance, 145, playing 147. 9 iron was the choice, I was second to hit. One practice swing, a wiggle and we hit. Little thin, honestly thought I had gone deep and over. My playing mates were sure it went it. I did not think it had a chance. Other two guys hit, we drive up and sure enough. Hit short checked twice and dunked right in. Course had pool noodles in the cup due to COVID-19 rules. Still got in somehow!!! We went crazy! Then continued our round. I somehow managed to not melt down after the hole in one, went on to shoot even par on the back for my first round under 80 ever. What a day!!! First hole in one and career low score, 79. As a 10 handicap. WHAT A DAY! One I will remember forever with three great playing mates to have it happen with!! #Thin2win #FirstHIO
