  1. August 24, 2020 12:14 pm, sweltering hot and humid, St. Marys Golf Course in St. Marys, WV hole number 6 a 103 yard par 3. My partner for the round Judy Lamm hit her tee shot and it looked really good and headed straight for the pin and with the way the sun was shining we couldn’t see if the ball went in the hole or stayed on the green. She left the tee box, I set up for my shot, decided to hit a soft 9 iron and hope for the best. I made the shot, the ball bounced twice and we lost it from our view due to the angle of the sun. As my shot left my view I heard a soft “tink” sound, but didn’t give it a thought. As I left the tee box I congratulated Judy on what I felt was her 13th hole in one. We arrive at the green and one ball is in view maybe three feet from the cup. I asked her if she was playing a Titleist ball and she nods yes. I asked what number and she said one. So it was her ball in sight and I’m thinking my ball is off the back of the green. I start to walk by the cup and she says you better look in the cup. She asked me, are you playing a Titleist AVX number 4? I answered yes, she now is congratulating me on my first ever hole in one. I let out one tremendous crazy hoop n holler of accomplishment. Wow, really cool, a forever memory and so happy I was playing aTitleist.
