Went out with my wife for our standing Tuesday twilight 9 this week. Pretty typical evening, a bit warm and no breeze, but enjoyable. And then I stepped on the 6th tee box and hit a 9 iron that was drawing right toward the pin. As it landed we heard the best noise in golf - the loud THUNK of a ball flying straight into the hole. We turned to each other in disbelief - could that have really just happened?? After some whoops in celebration we looked at each other again - now our twilight 9 turned into a race against the sun to get the round in. Held it together for one of my best rounds of the year and polished it off with a margarita and some enchiladas at the local Mexican joint. Not a bad Tuesday!
