  1. I started playing golf at age 10 in 1970. The hole in ones happened very frequently as a kid. I made five hole in ones from age 10-13 at courses near my home in Lake Placid, Florida. My 6th hole in one was in a college tournament in Auburn, AL. My 7th hole in one was in 1983 at Tour Qualifying School in Titusville, FL. #8 was made in 1998 at Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville. The 9th hole in one was made in 2005 when I hit a 9 iron 30 feet past the hole and spun it back into the hole. We had $1,400 hole in one tournament prize pot for the 1st hole in one that weekend. On August 28, 2020, I made my 10th hole in on at the 8th hole (140 yards) at Green Meadow Golf & Country Club in Alcoa, TN. It was a very windy day with a two club head wind. I hit a towering 8 iron using a Titleist AVX ball. The pin was in the very back of the green. I thought I had air mailed the green. As I was walking to back of the green, I glanced down at the cup, and my AVX ball was in the hole. It apparently flew straight into the hole, never rattling the pin. It was a surreal moment. Thanks to Titleist for making a great wind ball with the AVX.
