  1. My name is Elijah Tackett. I’ve been playing golf for about 10 years. I picked the game up at 16 and couldn’t put it down. I played in college and have continued playing as I’ve entered the working world. Today, September 17, 2020, I made my first hole in one. I carry a +4.4 handicap right now. I played terrible today shooting 75 (+3) at Franklin Bridge Golf Club in Franklin, TN. I birdied my last hole to finish my round, thank god, cause it was my only one of the day! My playing partner and I saw there was no one on #1 tee when we finished so we figured we’d play until dark. I said to him before we teed off, “watch, now that I played so bad today I’ll shoot two or three under on the next few holes like nothing ever happened and everything will go back to my normal.” I make birdie on #1, a 367 yard par 4. I make eagle on #2, a 502 yard par 5. I then make an ace on #3, from 164 yards. It was a tucked front left pin uphill with a club wind in our face. I hit it flush, I saw it bounce just short of the pin and disappear. We thought it was in, but couldn’t see the surface where the hole was. We ride up, and alas! I make par on #4, a 395 yard par 4. Biggest takeaway, you never know when you might get hot. I was +4 and frustrated through 17 holes, and I played my last 5 holes at -6. You never know!
