2020 has been crazy! When covid hit hard in March the only thing that there was to do was play golf so I did. I was playing 3 to 4 time a week which was more than I had played since I was in high school. My scores were getting better and I was having fun. Then I kind of hit a wall and school started back and the kids got busy and so did I. So I had not played much in like 2 months. I had an afternoon with nothing to do and me and my friend decided to go play after work. No warm ups, we just said lets try and get 18 in before dark so off we went. I pulled out some old balls thinking lets not hit new ones since this will probably be ugly. Surprisingly I was hitting it ok. Then we got to the 7th hole Par 3 slightly down hill. The pin was on the front and was on the front. I knew from past that my 9 iron usually hits the very front of the green. I did not take my time just hit it. My buddy Coleman said I lost it in the shadows but it was a good shot. Then as he got into the cart he said hey man I say 10% chance that went in. I laughed thinking no way. As we got closer we still couldn't see the ball, he got more excited. When we stopped at the green Coleman jumped out and ran to the green with no club before I could even get out of the cart. He got close to the pin and then started yelling and jumping up and down. He said its in!!!! I was in shock I think because he was way more excited that I was. I think it took at least 3 holes before my heart rate dropped back down.
