My buddy and I decided to shake things up a bit by playing a forward tee box after an overnight rain that had the course a little wet. After two bogeys and a birdie on the front half, I made the turn at 1 over. After pars on 10 & 11, I knocked it stiff on 12 for a tap in birdie. On to the 13th, playing 114 yards to a front pin plus a little help. I decided on my SM7 56* Vokey wedge, it’s a stock 105 yds. When I hit it, immediately I’m a little bummed because it felt like maybe a groove low, front pin, 105 stock, I have to hit it solid because a soggy false front is not receptive of a bump and run. so I yelled at my ProV1*, “GO”! Well my ProV heard me and listened. It carried about 2 yards on and released. Acting like a homesick gopher and disappeared. HOLE IN ONE! (#3) So, I added 1 more stupid bogey to shoot 1 under par. All of this happened October 31st, 2020 at Pinecrest Golf Club in Bluffton,SC Playing with Dave Lee, USMC (Ghost) - Combat Vet, Purple Heart recipient.
