I recently started playing golf again after a 30 year lay off. Covid can do that to you and I am happy I did because I forgot how much I enjoyed golf. Life -- family, work, kid activities, travel -- have been my focus for decades. I went to visit my parents in California and we played golf at Arroyo Trabuco on November 8th. It was quite windy that day -- about 2 club wind in most cases. On the 11th hole, a par 3 from the blues playing 168 yards according to our range finder, I hit an easy 5 iron at the pin tucked right behind the sand trap. My Titleist ball hit about 2 feet in front the pin and went in! Because it is an uphill hole and the pin was tucked behind the sand trap none of us knew it went in until we got to the green. It was a lifetime experience to get a hole-in-one after a 30 year lay off and have my parents there to see it.
