Decided to play with my friends after a long night (one of my dogs named Mochi, died around midnight the night before due to heart complications). It was hard to focus when all you can think of is your dog who had just passed away. When we finally reached Par 3 Hole #17, 174 yards, middle pin with a little tail wind and water right of green. I pulled a 6i from my bag and was able to see the ball landed on the green. Walking up to the green, I saw a big ball mark above and left of the pin but the ball is nowhere to be found. I started looking around and still can’t find my ball. I yelled at my friends, both of whom were off the green to the left, if they saw where my ball went. One of them jokingly yelled back, look in the hole. I did and there it was......my first hole in one. I immediately looked up and pointed above and thanked my buddy, Mochi who I know was smiling at me.
