To celebrate our friends birthday during an extremely rough year both with covid and without, 16 guys were playing an event to celebrate Drew’s Birthday. On the 16th hole, I stepped to the tee and hit a 6 iron that was tracking the flag from the moment it left the ground. Two bounces on the green and it disappeared and we went nuts. Everyone who knows me , knows that I can be very loud on the golf courseC especially with celebrations. Being in the final group, I had to make sure that the first group out, 3 holes in front, could hear the celebration. Having a hole in one was an incredible feeling, but to have it when playing with 16 of your friends made the experience that much better. I also always said that if I ever get a hole in one, that I would take the flag with me walking off the green. So immediately afterwards, I texted the superintendent (he knew my plan) and advised him that a new flag would be needed the next day, but I replaced the flag with a towel! It’s a day I will never forget!
