Linderhof Country Club, Nov. 29, 2020. 4th hole, 140 yds. As my partner and I approached the 4th tee, my partner spotted a dirty ball on the ground. He kicked it toward me and said "do you want this"? I picked it up and noticed it was a discarded Titleist Prov1. I said "well, good brand name". I kept it and decided to tee it up thinking I had nothing to lose. Well, I chose a 3 iron because it was somewhat up hill. I hit the ball, it hit the left side of the green and trickled into the cup. My partner went nuts. I wasn't sure so I held my breath until we got to the green. Sure enough, there was that dirty old Titleist in the cup! My first hole-in-one in 73 years. I took the ball home and washed it. It looked like new. It'll be mounted on a plaque. Woohoo!!!
