  1. I guess like some other things in life, you never will forget your first. Beauitful day, sunny, close to 80 degrees, with a light cross breeze over the lake. Started the round strong, three straight pars to start, a hiccup on 4 with a three-putt, but feeling confident in how I was swinging that day. It was a very slow round, we waited about 15 minutes before hitting our tee shots on this first par-3, the next group behind us was there watching us as our group finally teed off. I wanted to make sure I took enough club to carry the water with a front pin at 117 yards with a green that tilts severely from back to front. Hit a stock 125-yard pitching wedge crisp, it was on track with the flag the entire way. It landed a little beyond the hole, about 15 feet based on the divot, took one hop on the freshly cut bermuda greens and started spinning back down the hill. It all happened so fast but next thing I know, it spun back into the hole! In shock, both my hands went up in the air, club still in hand. I turn around to my playing partners and the group behind us, everyone is cheering, we all saw it go in and were yelling. I ran around and gave fist bumps to all the guys, looked back at the hole at least once or twice, still in shock and amazement. I'd never even seen a hole-in-one, let alone make one, despite playing around 30+ rounds a year for probably close to 25-30 years. Lost my focus for most of the round after that, but it did not matter. Had a blast after the round, until after sunset, just soaking it all in and celebrating in the fun of the moment. Could not have asked for a better first hole-in-one experience, and an important item to cross off the life bucket list!
