  1. September 26, 2019: I had just purchased the ProV1x yellow ball to try out the week prior. I had heard good things about it this round definitely didn’t disappoint. I had just been laid off from my job, and was sort of down in the dumps. My friend Jim called me and said “let’s go play” and at first I declined. Just didn’t feel like I should be playing due to the recent job loss. Well, I’m glad he talked me into it. I par’ed the first two holes, then made a really great birdie on 3 which is the 5 handicap hole, very difficult. Par’ed 4, 5 and 6 until I get to 7 which is the number 1 handicap hole where I made another birdie. Here we go! -2 thru 7. Just gotta make a par on the next hole, which is a 229 yard par 3 (from the tips). In truth it should be the 1 handicap but being a par 3 it isn’t. I hit a majestic 3 hybrid that never left the stick. It bounced once, and rolled about 8 feet and disappeared. I immediately knew it went in. My playing partners weren’t so sure, as there is a false front toward the back of the green, and they had thought it rolled off the back. Being 6’5” I was able to see over the small hill and watch it disappear. We went up to the green as fast as we could and my friend captured the moment for me! First hole in one ever. I have never felt adrenaline like that before. I got up to the 9th hole and blasted a 330 yard drive down the right side that carried a bunker I NEVER carry. Had a flip wedge that I hit to 6 feet. I’m a 6 handicap, so I’m having my best round ever to this point. Well, needless to say the adrenaline did not help my putting. I three putted that green to shoot 33 (-3) on the front, and had several other 3 putts on the back 9 and shot 74. The round itself ended up disappointing but in the end who cares! That hole in one will be a memory I will never forget!
