  1. Los Altos Golf Course, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 8/13/2020. Beautiful hot morning, blue skies, green grass. During association league play, on the 525 yard par 5 14th, I have 172 yards for my 2nd. Just as I get to the top of my swing, my playing partner drops his thermos in the basket and I fat my 8 iron. Boo! I get up and down for birdie. On the next tee box, The yardage is 172 on the par 3 15th. I say to Paul, " maybe you could be quiet for this shot?" Mostly joking, haha. Set up to play a 5 yard draw, starting at the middle of the green, from 172, with an 8 iron. Tugged it ever so slightly. Tracking immediately, I yell for it to go in! Ended up leaking left about a yard, while in flight, landing hole high, about 20 inches right of the hole... 1 hop past the hole, and spun back, and left, into the hole for my first! Wally Iverson and Paul Todesco, who were my playing partners, are both in their 70s, and lack the vision required to see 172 yards, lol... neither of them believed me. Wally said it looked like it was over the back, haha. He finally believed when he leaned over, looked in the hole, and saw my ball! Wish I wasn't the only one excited on the tee box, but hey, I'll take it! Can't describe the feeling! What a day!
