My brother and I were playing a quick 9 on a summer afternoon at Reunion Golf and Country Club. He hit his drive at #8 which is a short but straight par 4 with a blind tee shot. The hole starts uphill then goes into a downhill slope about 250 yards down. I hit my drive hard and low down the left side of the fairway where the downslope is the steepest and knew it would be good. We drove down, let my brother hit his ball but couldn’t find mine. My brother walks onto the green, looks down, and sees my ball at the bottom of the cup. Little did I know I wouldn’t be needing the Scotty. A hole in one on a par 4! Luckiest day of my life for sure!
