I am 64 years old and have been playing golf since I was 5. Have always come close, but have never put it in the hole for an ace. Was playing the TPC Eagle Trace Course in Coral Springs, FL with my wife's sisters' husband, Joseph and 2 flat-bellies from Montreal, Quebec, Sam and Thomas .... who are pretty good sticks! With a beautiful, sunny south Florida day, the 17th hole was playing 141 yards so I decided on hitting a soft shot with my Titleist DCI 762 8-Iron and Titleist 4 Tour Soft ball. Put a pretty solid pass on hit and watched it shape with a slight draw toward the hole. When it came down I saw it bounce once and then went out of sight .... and I mentioned that it either went in the hole .. haha ... or bounced over as the pin was far back on the green. Thomas and Sam went ahead to the green and as I got out of the cart they mentioned that I should bring a wedge as they did not see it on the green and figured it went over. Once I got halfway on the green I asked them if they had ever gotten a hole in one and Thomas said yes and I mentioned that I had not and they responded that today is probably not my day. However, as I got closer to the hole Thomas said, well it is your day because you got a hole in one! It was unbelievable .... I ran to the hole and looked in and starring at me was my Titleist 4 .... I then looked in front of the hole and there was the ball mark .... one foot in front so that ball hopped in on the first bounce. What a great feeling .... nothing quite like it that I have ever experienced! I have uploaded a still picture and a video is available (YouTube Link:
https://youtu.be/IfCbcrfuTmE ) that was taken as I was approaching the green .... FootJoy attire, Titleist clubs and a Titleist Tour Soft golf ball! It was truly a great day!
