I was playing with my golf group, the DOGs, on Friday February 12th, 2021, at the Camp Pendleton Marine Memorial GC. We had just made this our home golf course after moving from another course in January of 2021. I teed my ball, a TourSoft Titleist, up on the 4th tee, a 156 yard (back tees) par 3 downhill hole and made my swing with a 7 iron. I hit it well and saw it going towards the hole but could not follow the ball after 125 yards out due to my poor eyesight. My buddy Joe said "it went in the hole." I did not believe him as Joe is quite a jokester and it was said just matter of fact. When he wanted to bet me $100 that it went in is when I started to think it actually went in. When we got down to the green, I could see a prominent ball mark 3 feet in front of the hole and could not see a ball; that is when I was thinking "I just got my first hole in one!" I was finally able to override the stigma I had when I got a Hole in One for 3, 20 years ago (first shot OB and holed out on 2nd shot).
