I finally made my first ever hole-in-one on February 24th, 2021. I made it at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach on the 4th hole of the Links Course. I hit a beautiful 6-iron with my trusted Titleist ProV1x ball. I have been playing competitive golf since age 12 and I finally made my ace. Now the rest of the story. I decided to keep playing with that ball to challenge myself not to lose it. A few holes later we are playing a par 5 that runs adjacent to another par 5. After we hit our drives down the middle, we see kids coming down our fairway, obviously playing the adjacent par 5. They play on and we eventually get to our drives. When we get there my ball is gone. My playing partners offer that these kids clearly hit my ball. They were gone at this point. As we progress towards the green one of my partners asks, “that was not your hole-in-one ball was it”? I answer “yes it was” and not that ball is gone. It was a distinctive Titleist ProV1x with the Everglades Club logo of a green alligator. In the attached picture you can see the Titleist logo and the little bit of the alligator logo on the side.
