Concentrate on the hole you are playing. If you have a bad hole, put it in your back pocket and move on. Stay in your game and not worry about what your opponents are doing. Play the course to the best of your ability. If you do your best, you cannot ask for more. If you can have a caddie, take someone you know and trust who can provide you support and keep you in the moment.

Chuck's right; concentrate on the hole you're playing. In fact ,concentrate on the shot you're playing.Thought process; hit the fairway, hit the green, putt it close and repeat. Don't over analyze.Don't get ahead of yourself, and do your best to block out all the "noise".

    Best of luck.
  4. Don't worry about the other players or be intimidated, play your game. I'm not a tournament player but finally got my handicap low enough to apply for US Senior Amateur qualifying. My biggest mistake was just what I mentioned, by the time I settled in and starting playing my game, it was too late. The 3 birdies coming in didn't help :)
