I’m a mid handicap player looking to significantly improve on my game. I’ve been taking lessons with a great academy that films my before and after swing and work on that movement outdoors with him buuuuuut it’s easy for me to forget unless it’s a specific drill that gives me an automatic feedback if I’m doing it correctly. So I went the deep end and purchased a golf simulator, have swing cameras which is great but I’m no PGA to self diagnose my mistakes and how to correct. With that being said, it’s great for practicing when I’m limited in time (which is often) and provides me the feedback by seeing the ball trajectory and data. I love data with the idea of tracking practice sessions to see if improving over time with my dispersions , carry distance , etc etc. Does anyone know of a legit program that they would recommend that has some type of tracking system? Or is this something I will need to create on my own?

Sounds like you have a great process and a way to ingrain your swing techniques. My only recommendation would be to ensure you include a repetitive pre-shot routine as you swing. It will help ensure that the same swings you make on the simulator are copied on the course where it really counts.

I will second what Dale suggests. Work on a pre-shot routine. Pay attention to your habits prior to your swing. It might be a swing thought or word that reminds your mind/body what you are trying to accomplish. Once you identify which pre-shot routine aids with the best result burn it into your memory.

What you "feel" and what you "do" can be two completely different things. It appears you have the tools to achieve your goals. One thing I would suggest is having a golfing friend watch you play golf and they can help you confirm that you are imparting your desired swing...even better would be to have your teaching pro go out with you for a playing lesson.

It's all been said already but I'll repeat it. Repeat the same thing over and over until it becomes normal. Pre-shot routine is vital for a solid golf shot. Bad habits can be broken by making sure you do the good things over & over again.

Some of the best feedback is feel. How does it feel when you strike the ball. Outside of that I think you're on the right path with your process.

Thank you for your advice. The big thing people are missing is, is there a certain type of program I should follow. For example

Monday full swing analysis, work on certain drills etc.
Tuesday: wedge matrix between 30-130 yds set at random targets each shot
Wednesday: long irons, followed by putting practice at random lengths.
    Thursday: wood drills?
Friday: go out play a short par 3 course?

I'm looking to practice smarter not harder.

Just imagine Butch saying Tiger needed 5,000 reps to incorporate a swing change. I'm living proof of how hard it is, even though I'm a low handicap (0-2). Trying to deviate from our old habits is brutal. I've been trying to shallow my swing for a few years, I need a teacher to guide me through the sequence. Golf is hard!
