I am an amateur golfer and have only played for about 6-7 months. I really want to own a Titleist driver, but I don't have enough money to buy a new one, or even some older ones. I know this is kind of a stupid thing to start a discussion on, but I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on how to get a Titleist driver for a reasonable price (I'm not saying the D2 is unreasonable, I just can't afford it)

I would suggest an on-line auction site.  You can find plenty of used Titleist drivers at resonable prices on eBay, even "cheap" if they have a cosmetic flaw (like "sky-marks" on the crown) that don't effect performance.

Alright, I'll see what I can find and find a good fitting area. I've been meaning to get a fitting but just never found the time.

I would get fitted first to make sure you can handle a D2.  It's very user friendly but could potentially be to much club for a golfer just starting out.

you can easily find a nicely used one on ebay or craigslist

I go back to this driver when and if I get away from whatever my current driver is I own two of them now with diff loft and shaft options  its a keeper!

Other than being 7 or 8 years old... it's a good club.  I played this model years ago.
