AP2 710 - Serial Number

  1. Forum,

I've just purchased the 710 AP2 from an authorised internet retailer in the UK (www.onlinegolf.co.uk), visually they look legitimate, no issues there at all. However, when checking for the serial number, did not see a number on the hosel of the 6 iron (or any of the others), the 6 iron had the barcode label on the grip wrapper as there's been for any other Titleist club I've bought over the last few years.

Would there be any reason why there wouldn't be a serial number - is this something to be concerned about?

    Thanks,

    Brian

Just glanced at my new set of AP2s that I just picked up last week and the 6 iron does have a serial number on the hosel.  Didn't notice one on the other irons, but I only looked at a couple of clubs.

AP2's should have it on the 6 iron or on every club if they are custom. (Mine have on all clubs)

The crew should be able to answer your questions.

Hi Brian, I have forwarded your question to our UK Acushnet office.  They should be getting back to you shortly.

If if was a set with standard specifications and configuration, it should have a serial number on the 6 iron.  If you have changed some of the specs, it will be on every iron.

  5. Cathi, Many thanks for your reply, look forward to hearing from the UK office. Brian

    Hi,

I also bought a set of AP2 irons, with custom shafts, from a UK based online retailer. As with the original poster there are no serial numbers on the hosel however I have noticed that there is no paintfill on the letter D of the word FORGED of the 6, 7 & P clubs......are these clubs legitimate?

    Thanks,

    Darren

We have no "online only" retailers. All retailers have their website as an extension of their brick and mortar store. Please take a look at our information on counterfeit clubs at: http://www.titleist.com/customer-service/faqs/106/Counterfeit%20Products.aspx. You can also contact our UK office at: SalesUK@acushnetgolf.com as right now our international golf shop locator is being transitioned to our Titleist.com page.
