Need some advice from TT members. I am looking at replacing my wedges next year. My ap2 pitching wedge is 47 degrees and I want to know if I should get a 52 degree wedge or get a 54 degree wedge and bend it to 53. My third wedge will be a 58 degree. It might seem to make sense to get a 52 degree and bend it weak if I would like but i don't like to bend my wedges weak cuz of the added bounce and different appearance. Some of my friends said that the 54 has a different sole or something. Oh and a follow up question of the three different vokey wedges, 200 sereis, tvd and spin milled what are the differences? what would be good to a low handicap with an average angle of attack (i use mid bounce).

    Thanks for all the help!

    Hi Cam,

This is a multi-faceted question but I will try to keep my answers as straightforward as possible.

    1)  As you mentioned, if you bend a 52.08 to 53* that will add one degree of bounce.  In the 54* degree wedges, we have three bounce options (8, 11, 14) to fit your swing style.

    2) A 47-53-58 wedge set up is a good one.  We generally recommend no more than 15 yards between each of your wedges.  The best way to determine all of your yardage gaps is to get fit for wedges.  We can help find a fitter if you give us a call at 1-888-Titleist.

    3) Each of our three families of wedges has its own unique characteristics.  There is much more info available at www.vokey.com

Cam, I hope that helps.  You are a mid-bounce neutral player so the TVD would be a good option.  However, we recommend that you get fitted into the right Vokeys for your game.

Thanks for your support of Vokey wedges.

    Regards,

Sorry one more question David. Do the tvd vokeys look more like the 200 series or the stock spin milleds?
