I saw a set of 710 CB's for sale and two things that raised a red flag to me about them potentially being counterfeit were:

    1.  the lettering of the word "Titleist" on the Tour Velvet grip was gold...I have only seen it in white

    2.  the Titleist logo was facing up....I have only seen it facing down in new sets I have looked at at golf shops.

Anybody ever seen Titleist grips with gold lettering or installed facing up on the 710 CB's?

If I order new clubs the shaft and grip will be upright.

I don't recall ever seeing yellow titleist(that doesn't mean it doesn't exist), but the grip doesn't mean the club is fake.

I would be more worried just by the fact that there are 710cb's for sale.

If these clubs are being advertised as brand new, you may want to consider another source.  The stock 710 CB's would come with a Tour Velvet Titleist grip logo down and in white.  Many years ago, we sold a Titleist grip with gold paint fill, but we no longer build or have those grips.  If the grips were installed logo up by us, it would be listed as a set of a custom irons.
