I was considering a mixed set of AP1's 4 - 6 and AP2's 7 - PW. Anybody else have something similar. I like the feel of the forged but at the demo day did not like the stiffer shaft, (I guess it was a project x) on his 6 iron demo Used play the Hogan apex back in the day and would love to get back to forged. However at my age (61) and although I still swing prety fast, hit the ball reasonably long and shot in the low 80's and occasionaly break 80 on an easier track, I think I would like the forgiveness the AP1 might provide.

I'm a big fan of the mixed set for a variety of players based on need.  You may need to tweak the lofts differently than a "stock" set but I think you'll be very happy.

Mike, AP1's and AP2's are both great clubs and I don't think you could go wrong either way. Mixed sets are also fine and can function well if fit correctly. Be sure to go through the whole set regardless of what set make up you choose so that they can be gapped out correctly. Team Titleist can help you locate a fitter in your area. Good Luck and enjoy the new clubs. Craig

I have been playing a mixed set of AP1/2s since they have come up.  They split between the 6/7 iron.  I had the loft adjusted so there are no gaps since the AP1s are stronger lofted.  I absolutely love my setup and wont change it anytime soon. BTW I am a 3 handicap.
