I took a chance and recently purchase a 910 H 17 from a person on ebay. I compared it to one at the store today and noticed there was no serial number near the hozel. What are the chances of this being fake? Are there any 910 hybrids that do not have a serial number? Thanks.

In my experience, and I've had the hybrids for a while so the technique may have changed, there should be a code on the sole just above the hosel when holding the sole side up.  There may be a code on the surefit tip as well.  In any event, the Team Titleist crew will tackle this issue ASAP.

Hi, Like you I have just bought a 910 hybrid 21* ahina stiff from a reputable golf store here in Christchurch New Zealand, bought it last Thursday and it's Sunday now. I didn't even think to look for or ask about the serial number as the shop is like I said reputable.I thought I would register the club but for the life of me cannot find a serial number, not on the head, not on the sure fit tip, inside the hossel, nowhere.I'm not that concerned as I have the receipt etc and will call the shop first thing 2morrow morning to get their take on it. I have also ordered the 910f in 17* ahina stiff so will be asking about the sn on that as well.Any ideas on this most welcome. Cheers

  4. Hi,

I know your post is a few weeks old, but I would like to know the result of the talk with the dealer, cause I have a similar problem:

I recently bought 2 910H's from two different persons on ebay.

One (21°) has a serial engraved near the hosel, but no hologramm, the other one (24°)) has a hologramm on the shaft but no serial engraved.

    Thanks for your help.

Hi, seems all ok, the sticker seems to be the mew way, all my titleist woods have sticker and 3 wood and 1 hybrid have sn and sticker, only 1 hb has no sn. Kind of a transition stage between the two different methods i assume. Hope this helps.I think most e bay sellers with good volume and good feedback are kinda ok.Stick away from the Chinese websites that sell the average $350 club for 120 usd, fakes for sure.Cheers

  6. Thanks.

I also contacted the guy who sold me the club without engraved serial, he is head-pro of a german golf club, I don't think he is selling fakes in his free time. He assured me the club is real.
