We released the preview information because we wanted our Team Titleist members to be able to follow along as we started the process of "seeding" the Tour.  Hope you enjoy the previews and stories!  Our product cycles are two years so we are looking towards the end of the year for retail release.

Does the 712 MB have a thinner top line than the 710 MB or are they the same?

    Cathi,

A couple of quick questions on the new models.

    • I have seen some posts stating that the face of the AP1s and AP1 710s seems to wear out fairly quickly.  Has anything been changed to prevent this in the AP1 712s?
    • The press releases for the 712s are stressing the satin finish for the MBs and CBs.  Do the AP1 and AP2 irons also have the satin finish?
    • It's great to see the pictures of the new product, but when will there be detailed info about the performance features of the new 712 line and what makes them better than the 710 models.

    Thanks.

    Hi Frank,

Thanks for the questions. We don't have a lot of details right now on the new prototype irons as the tour seeding and validation process has just started.  However, the finish on the prototype AP1 and AP2 irons is not the same satin finish that is found on the prototype CB and MB irons.

As always, we'll continue to come to Team Titleist first as new details emerge so be sure to stay tuned.  Thanks a lot.

    Hi Mike,

I was wondering should I wait until the 712 is released in Australia or should I go ahead and purchase the 710. Will there be a big change, I had a hit with the 710 and it felt awsome compared to my TM R7's. I don't want to regret buying the 710, I don't mind the chrome finish. Cosmetics doesn't realy bother me. If the 712 will be simar to the 710 than when will the price of them drop for the new arrival of the 712. Will the 712 be at a similar price. If so how much should I be expecting. '

    Many Thanks.

  8. I am a huge fan of Titleist and I want to know when the new 712 irons are coming out because now my clubs are too short...and my handicap has went through the roof...!!

There is no delay on the irons - the scheduled release for the 712 irons has always been mid November. We introduce the new product on tour around the world so that the Touring pros can validate the new product before it is released.

Team Titleist is making my decision to buy new irons so hard! 710 AP2's or wait for the new 712's. If only there was a way to hit them ahead of time.... Thanks TT for the future look. They look great
