Hcp is the best indicator of skill level we have, but hcp doesn't say what kind of clubs we need.

You need to make a list of your most common mistakes, then match the clubs to that list.

Dont worrie about which iron is for which handie cap. People will tell you what they think. The best way to do it is to go get a fitting. Lossen up hit a few range balls prior to the fitting so your swing is more lossend up and consistant. Then let the fitter start. He will ask you a Few quistions to get a demograph of what your looking for and he will want to watch you hit a few balls. Based on your feed back he will start handing your clubs to swing. Dont look at the club model or shaft type. Just swing away and give him feed back based on how you feel about the clubs in your hand and the ball flight you get. Even if you hit a perticular club great he will hand you another one. This is to Find where your are. Once your get what your the most comfortable with and ball flight you desire that will be the club for you. Process takes about 15-20 min. You'll only hit maybe 3-4 balls per club. don't be concerned about that. The idea is to find what club naturaly fits you. anything more than a few swings and you'll adjust to the club on your own. You dont want to adjust to the club you want the club to be adjusted to you. You never know what you'll end up with. and i would recomend this for any club out there even Putters.
