Titleist 710 AP2 - Swapping S300 Shafts for KBS Tour 90 Stiff

    Hi, I am looking to swap over the S300 shafts in my AP2 irons to the KBS tour 90(s). The static weight difference in the shafts is around 25grams, though I know there is more to swignweight than static weight. So knowing this I am looking for advise or experience on how much this will change the feel of my AP2's. They are currently too heavy and my swing is not strong enough to handle them. Thanks

    I have KBS X Stiff Tour in my AP2 I love the feel and the weight is not a problem even though I have a medium swing tempo, I get great feedback and would say get checked out by a local Titleist fitter and see what he says but if not go for it you won't be disappointed.

    Thanks Stuart, did you get this done after market. If so what shaft did you have before the KBS, I'm trying to get a feel for what the new feel will be. though I do have the KBS tour 90 in stiff, which are much lighter than the shafts you've got. We have no titleist fitters in my area so I'm trying to use the net for some feedback before I make the change.

    I had them put in when ordering the clubs, but have previously used DG S300 and Project X 6.0. I find the KBS a touch lighter than the DG S300, and more stable through the swing and impact area. Is there a local golf club that has any iron with the shaft in? I work as a Golf Shop Manager and one of my members has them in his Titleist MB's and he switched from DG and he loves them as well.

    I can't speak for myself but many of my friends have put KBS tour stiffs in their irons rather than DNGs. They say that they do not notice a difference in feel at all and just enjoy the lightness.
