I have a Tour Action reg. 588 BeCu wedge that is around 15-18 years old. I would like to replace it for a Vokey but not sure what kind. I use it primarily for chips and flops around the green as well as 50 yard pitch shots.

The Spin Milled 60-07 works like a charm for me around the green. 50 yards is actually my full pitch shot. I carry a 54-11 for general purpose use. I also have a 64-07 for tight pin positions out of thick grass. You didn't say whether your 588 was a lob or sand wedge. If you want to do a "keep it simple stupid" kind of thing, a 58-12 does just about everything. It acts as a sand wedge, is good from 50 yards in and handles most greenside shots.. You'll need to play the ball back in your stance on tight lies.

I would definitely check out Vokey Wedgeworks online. The 60* M grind is a fantastic wedge. Very easy to open and close the face. Also the new 200 series wedges look sweet also. It is definitely worth the extra cash and you can customize it!

The Wedges you get in the stores or from Titleist are very good wedges, But I would go to Vokey.com and order one from there.

    Hey Joseph,

I would def check out a Vokey Wedgeworks TVD 58 - it's an awesome golf club that will cover a wide variety of shots.

In old school golf, one's sand wedge pretty much was 57 or 58 degrees. The PW was 50 Like I said, I had a 256-12 in 2007-early 2009 and it did quite a wide variety of shots. The only short coming was long bunker shots and very fluffy sand. I used it just about exclusively for short game (used a 64 for specialty shots).

I've had the Spin Milled 60-07 since the beginning of the year. On Sunday I came within a foot of holing out from 50 yd. A month ago I holed out a 20 yard shot over the bunker on a 403 yd par 4 for a birdie. Quite a few one putt greens with it. I played with CG15 DSG 58 and 64 deg wedges for about a year - they were pretty deadly and worked fine in wet bunkers but were horrible off tight lies (I used my Snake Eyes 600W lob wedge for that). The 60-07 was the "eureka" - I could hit off a dirt lie and pretty reasonable off a grassy lie. The 64-07 has a similar sole grind to the CG15 DSG 64 but is far superior and I have used it for bunker shots where the pin is very close to edge of the green.

Joseph I just upgraded from that exact same set. I loved my Cleveland, but the Vokey is just that much better. The 60-7, the TVD, there's tons of options and each one is a great club, but you should hit some and find out what ones you like the best. If you like the finish of the BeCu I would definitely go with the oil can. It comes off and just leaves this great color. I like it even better than I liked my trusty BeCu Bottom line you can't go wrong with Vokey, and you will be amazed what fresh grooves will do for you- I was
