  1. Hello, I'm way off a fittingcenter.

I have a low launch, and not so much backspin on the ball. I have a SS at 103-106 (hcp 11). I hit my drives with a fade and sometimes I go a bit more against slice. My driver at the moment is a Spaldingdriver from 2008 with a stiff shaft.

What shaft would you recommend in a D3 if I wanna go a bit higher with the launch?

    Sry for my bad english.

You should probably get fitted, but if you want a reference you can check out the Titleist 910 Performance Guide to get a better idea of what shafts you can choose from: http://www.titleist.com/images/products/pdfs/910PerformanceGuideRH.pdf A lot of the driver is about feel and performance, which develops confidence on the course. But judging by your comments you might need something a tad firmer than what you're currently playing if it's slicing on you.

  4. Thanks, the reason I'm asking here is that i can't get a fitting around my area.

You should look into some of the Diamana shafts that Titleist has in their drivers which are stock. Look for something that has a low kick point in the shaft and that might help you get the ball into the air a little better off the tee.

  6. I found the diamana ilima 61 and 71. I wonder what I should prefer? Lighter or heavier? What impact do they have?
  7. Looks like it is a lima 71 that is best for me.

I might ditch the D3 for a player that needs to get more launch off the tee and go with the Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana 'ilima 61 and the two together will get you longer off the tee and with a 11 handicap get yourself the 910 D2. Is there a reason you are looking at the D3. I am a 2 handicap and I just now am utilizing the D3 smaller head to be able to work the ball better and even then I have lost a bit of distance but the absolute superb control I have with D3 is well worth it to me.

The 'ilima 71 in a Titelist 910 D2 head would be a great option if you're comfortable with a 71 gram shaft. You should be able to launch it higher and find more fairways with it.
  10. The reason I go for the d3 is that when I hold it, it gives me much more confidence then he d2 maybe sounds strange. I guess I'm just used to the smaller heads. Is 71 a really heavy shaft? I never spend money on a decent driver before and therefor have no clue what is light or heavy in a "normal" setup. So if I get it right. U believe I gonna have trouble with the d3 and ilima 71?
  11. Just to make it clear. Im not suffering from a superlow launch. But it would be nice with a bit higher. I think I hit my drives a bit longer then a average 11hcp player. If that makes sense. :)
