I've just purchase a 910 D3 8.5 degree and also a 910F 15 Degree. Both have PX 8A4 and are tipped 1" each. The D3 came to me with a 5g weight installed and the F came with 12g weight installed.

The F feels superb - well balanced, I can feel the head brilliantly and I hit the ball very well with it - slight fade as is my normal shot. It's set to A2 to offset the fade.

Now for the D3 !!!! No matter what I set the settings to, the ball goes well right with one of the biggest slices I've ever had. I'm putting the ball in places I've never been. It's a fight to keep it in the park. The club feels totally different from the F and the shaft feels way to whippy for what is meant to be XStiff. I can't figure out how the D3 could be so different from the F. I tried putting the 12g weight in the D3 and it did help a fair bit, but the ball just keeps wanting to go right (just not as far right!).

Can anyone give me some clues as to what is going on here (apart from me getting a new swing :-o ) ? As I said, 910F with same shaft is brilliant, but the D3 feels like a totally different shaft. Looks like it's back to the SD until I get this sorted out :-)

    Thanks
    Ian

I don't know your exact swing charateristics but, I would maybe consider a lighter shaft, 80 gram shaft is pretty heavy for a amatuer to be using in a driver. It could be to heavy of a shaft for your swing charateristics to not be letting the club head to turn over.  I myself use a have the 910d3 9.5 with the aldila rip 60s and I hit it 270-280 on average. The best thing would be to bring it in and get fitted.

I agree with what Jason said about the shaft. I have the same driver and it was a battle for me for a little bit to get the settings down and swinging the club properly. Or, take it to a registered Titleist guy, hopefully in your area, and ask them to help you out. Maybe he can help you work on your settings.

your block to the right dose sound like to heavy of a shaft for you. plus the fact that your sliceing means that you cant turn it over intime for impact either. As is for alot of people Shafts dont always work in the driver as they do the three wood. Did you get fitted for this driver or did you order it with this shaft becouse you thought it would work for you. im betting you didnt get fitted becouse you wouldn't ask about the club if you were fitted for it you would ask about your swing. Sounds like you should order a lighter shaft for your driver.
