  1. Hello,

      Could someone from Titleist give an overall comparision of shafts that are offered as "stock" options for the 910D2/3?   Aside from the flex,  I am looking for something like ;

    We recommend the RIP shaft for people who have a sharp transtiion, or want a lower ball flight  OR

    We recommend the Diamanna for people wanting a shaft that plays softer than flex, spins more, launches higher, etc

  2. Hi Rich -

    Every player is different and there is no substitute for a proper fitting.  It wouldn't really be the best advice to lump players into large categories based on limited information and tell them what shaft would be best. However, there are different characteristics in the stock shafts that fill different needs/wants.

    Players wanting a lower launch with lower spin would want to look at the RIP and the Diamana Ahina shaft first (RIP offers a lighter weight option than the Ahina).  The Project X could also work here but it will typically produce higher spin/launch than the previously mentioned options.

    The Diamana Kaili is a mid launch with mid/low spin shaft that would be suited for players looking for a softer feel with mid launch/spin.  Players here could also look at the Project X option.

    The Diamana 'ilima is a lower kick, higher launch and spin shaft.  If you are looking for a shaft to help produce a higher launch, you'll want to look here first.

    I'm sure one of these options that will be better suited for you than the others but you'll be doing yourself a favor by taking the time to work with a Titleist fitter.  You can find a list of fitters on www.fittingworks.com or by calling Cathi or me.

    Hope this helps...
