I know this prolly does not belong on Titleist's discussion but I was disappointed to see another $35 added to the price of my wedges.
I thought that is what made online shopping so great:( :(

A lot depends on what state you live in, generally if the place you are buying from is in 1 state and you are in another there will be no tax.
It sounds like more like it should have been $3.50 and they messed up. I'd check with them about the purchase and if they won't change the tax then send them back.

Sounds fishy unless you have some fancy shafts and grips. What are the order details?
I bought 3 Black Oxide Wedges with KBS Shafts.
It is not the amount of tax it is just that they charged tax at all. I wonder if Bob moved his Factory to Utah:) or
Utah has a law about tax that I don't know about:(
I found out it is called a "use tax" and most all states have it. I guess I am just used to E-bay;)
Damn Government tryin to steal my babies..
I'm no expert on interstate commerce, but the law is still pretty unclear when it comes to internet purchases and crossing state lines. Most big corporations are charging a sales tax as precaution. Some states, like Texas, are going after retailers like Amazon that have fulfillment centers in their state. The Amazon deal here in Texas is a landmark battle.

Thanks for the reply. I think if people can get a good deal AND avoid sales tax they will continue to shop online and deal with the week or two wait. But if they start charging sales tax people will slow down on their internet shopping I believe.
Nuff said lets go play some Golf.
