I have seen slow-mo impact where the ball is hit a little high or low on the face causing a little movement of the clubhead up or down.

Sunday, I think it was hole 10, they showed Scott Verplank hitting his white driver, the impact appeared to be slightly high and slightly toward the toe(the commentators said it was a nice drive before it hit the ground, and from what I saw it was a nice drive), but the head wobbled WILDLY after impact.

Is this a lack of MOI? or is this typical movement for slightly toward the toe?

If typical, would older heads move even more wildly?

And a little more about Scott Verplank, tv always shows a players ball up close, I kept watching and they never did his, I see on this site he uses ProV1

I wouldn't say it's lack of MOI, it's literally physics!  You are right to be amazed by the movement of the club head.  Thankfully engineers with all companies are making clubs perform well on off center hits.

One of the "myths", if you will, is the theory that when players take their grips, the feeling of "light or soft" for better tempo and control is simply wrong.  There is an amazing amount of force used and required to maintain control of the club face, especially on the left hand of a right handed player.

Thanks for the inside look behind the science of impact RC.
