Getting a few extra weights is a pretty cheap way to fine tune your clubs if they don't feel right. It's surprising what a couple extra or a couple less grams can do for the feel of the club. Give it a shot. You can always go back if it doesn't work out.

That shouldn't move cg much, but I suppose if you could measure it, it would be slightly higher assuming a TSR2 fairway with the changeable weights?

TM Burner has a super light shaft. If you’re hitting standard length on a TS2 or TSR2, 5g would work good. I have a TS2 18 and use a 5g weight at 42” and trying 9g with 41.5”. I played a Burner 7 wood and HT Draw driver until 2012. When you use a lighter headweight, the center of gravity shifts up the shaft. I use a Diamana x5ct 72g stiff.

With a standard weight at 41.5” my swingweight is D3. It’s D2 with 42” and -4g.

2g of head weight change = 1 swingweight point.

5g of grip weight change = 1 point. Lighter grip = heavier swingweight.

10g of shaft weight = 1 point.

I had to use a 25g Dri Tac Lite on my Burner driver at 44.5” to get D2. My 915D2 is 44” with a Winn Excel RF oversize, Diamana 62 and 15g weight.

I have my 3W at 42” but it has 19g.

Team Titleist is a group of Titleist loyalists such as yourself and as one of the most active posters on here, I feel some information is missing. You did not say which style of the TSR fairway you purchased and if you were fitted. There are four different styles. I always get fitted by a local Titleist certified fitted to ensure that I get the correct shaft and head and purchase thru a local Titleist account, who just happen to be in the same. I can always go there for adjustments and if there are any issues.

If you did get it thru a fitter you can go back to them and get an adjustment and recommendation. That 15 year old burner was a great club for it's time.

Lou G has some great info above and Chuck is right - which club do you have? Also, why are you frustrated? Missing center? Toping too many shots? Hitting them fat? Spraying it left or right? Through my experience, these all could have different solutions, and yes - changing the adjustable weights could probably help.

Personally, I like to swing a heavier clubhead, so I usually add weight vs reduce weight. After buying the TSR3 15*, I'm finding it extremely hard to find (+) weights, (-) weights are easily available. So I'll try lead tape in certain places and test ball flight/responsiveness to see what works. If you have TSR2/2+/1, different adjustable weights are easily available and they all use the same ones, TSR3 is the only one that's different.

If not fit originally, trying different shafts could be an option also.

The only source of weights for the TSR-3 fairways is through a pro shop from Titleist. The other TSR fairways use the same set of weights and there are third party options for those.

Agree there is not enough information. If I had been fit and the TSR didn’t improve on the Burner, I would have passed. If there is a rear weight, then it can change the MOI as well as swing weight. They move in tandem. Not so much COG.

I would get the swingweight checked on your old club and get a club fitter to match your get your new one to the same swingweight. I had to get a heavier weight to get mine to D3 as I play it a bit shorter than standard.
