In all seriousness, the TSR line is much better than the prior TSI line. I have played two rounds with the TSR3 after playing the TSI3 and a PXG Gen5 0311, all in 10 degrees over the past two years. I am averaging 10-15 more yards of carry with the TSR3. My most common mishit being toe side, is less spinny and now tends to draw back in to the centerline, not losing much distance, where with the TSI3 the same miss resulted in a push fade that would end up much shorter and right. I have not moved the weight track towards the mid toe yet to see what happens, specifically when I hit it on the nose, but I love the results so far set up in the middle. I am lucky enough to have fit into the Tensei and have 2 other Accra shafts from the TSI3 to experiment with. I am considering the TSR2+, And another TSR2 FW in 16-17 degrees of loft. The feel and look is just way better than the PXG and my TSI setup.

More speed, more forgiveness ;)

Everyone is pretty much up against the USGA limits. Some of the face changes involve creating a more equal off center response. The bottom has been smoothed out to decrease air resistance, allowing for a small increase in head speed. The new release is an improved utilization of the titanium.
I came from the TSi-1 to the TSR-2. Most of my increase in ball speed was increasing the smash factor from less than 1.45 to over 1.48. Head speed was in the same range. That netted close to 15 yards. The chance that one can empirically find 15-20 yards is not great. Working with a good fitter, better dispersion and/or distance may be enough benefit to justify the $600 price.

It's more stable off the face when mis-hit. I played the Tsi2 & now have a TSR 2 and the yardage difference is one thing (10-15 more), but my misses are closer to the fairway without losing much yardage.

What I'd say is I can play poorly better off the tee with my TSR than I could with my Tsi, if that makes sense.

But of course, getting fitted is the biggest key to having success with a golf club as well.

I’ve just changed from TSi2 to TSr2, same loft, same shaft. i’ve noticed that it is much easier to find the center of the face with the TSr2. My normal strike point on the TS2 and the TSi2 was a little high and closer to the heel and I could not seem to make contact anywhere else. Using the same set up and swing with the TSr2 I’m hitting the center of the face more times than not. It must be the lower CG works better for me. Dispersement is greatly improved.

I have been gaming the TSi3 and it feels great. During the pandemic, I gained about 10 lbs and lost about 10mph of avg swing speed. I felt like I started seeing less forgiveness on the TSi3 and went out and got fitted for a TSR2. I have seen better dispersion but have lost a little distance and a little feel...which is fine with me. Fairways off the tee is my focus.

Still using TS2 and looking at TSi and TSR. Bigger difference between going to TS2 to the TSi?

I played the TSi 3 for a little over a year and was fit into the TSR 3 with the same shaft and loft.
The TSR was showing a little faster ball speeds during the fitting, but I’ve definitely found it to be more forgiving on the course.
I still have my TSi3 to keep in my travel bag.

I got fit for a TSR 1 then bought a TSI 1, thinking the two clubs are not that different and I would save some $$$ by purchasing the prior generation club.
I played the TSI 1 last year but was never happy with the way I hit the ball.
The TSI 1 has a slight draw bias and I have a natural draw swing so I adjusted the club head to open the face but I still tended to hit my drives left, more of a hook than a draw.
I am now thinking of trading in the TSI 1 for a TSI 2 or TSR 2, thinking the 2 model of either driver, more of a player’s club, will not have the draw bias of the game improvement 1 drivers. Would welcome opinions on that logic….
