I am going to club fitter on sunday, and wondering if anyone has been fitted or ordered and played with the 910 D3 8.5 or 9.5 with the diamana white board 73 or 83 and feel it is better than the  stock ahina stiff.  Is spending the extra $200 worth it or is the ahina stiff just as good?  Help me out, my swing speed is about 105 and bal speed is about 155 but my launch is to high so I'm looking for the shaft to help.  If you have the whiteboard in your driver let me know what you think?

I have the exact combo you are looking into buying.  I tried the stock shaft first and like you I hit the ball way too high.  I upgraded the shaft in my 910 to the real whiteboard, and like you I hated to pay the upcharge but I have to say it was the best choice I could have made.  I can really let loose and let this one rip!  I went from a natural fade to a nice draw.  The flight is long and brought me down to a mid low flight.  I leave it at A1 so the face angle dont mess with the launch.  Trust me I dont regret it!

Thanks for responding I am off this sunday for club fitting, so it looks like it is between these two, and maybe the ahina 80 since its the real version.

Hi Chris,  I tried getting the real Ahina but was told not available until April, so i Ordered the made for Titleist Ahina 82 X, did not like the feel and could not hit it consistantly on the course, i had it switched out for a Project X 7B3 (6.5) and so far have been happy, still getting used to it. Have not hit it on a monitor, I hit everything high, which is not a bad thing, but i think my spin rate is good judging by the way I hit it on the course. You should be able to get this shaft at no extra cost, since the PX comes stock (6.0) or (6.5)

    Hi Chris,

I have the RIP in mine but I would let the launch numbers and personal feel decide if you think it is just as good.  Also, try out the RIP and Project X with the Ahina.  You can't argue with the numbers and it could save you a couple of dollars!!!  I know the RIP lowered my ball flight and I love how it feels and looks.

I hope your fitting was a success!  Adjusting the loft and settings on the 910 will be the best way to contain your launch.  The stock Ahina's are very good and we've several players like the X flex.  TPI is fitting several players as well and even tipping 1/2- 1". Let us know how it went!

no doubt that the diamana white is a great shaft. heck the world's best golfer uses it. it ultimately comes down to if you can find a different and cheaper shaft that performs as well if not better.hope it helps
