    Hi Guys

Has anyone out there tried the Fubuki Alpha in the 910 yet? any thoughts? and how you think it compares to the stock Project X 7c3 as far as feel, ball flight and spin rates.

    Any feedback would be great.

    Thanks

The closer match would be the Fubuki 73 and from what we have observed, players love it!

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your reply, love ya youtube stuff by the way, always of interest. Good work!

So you think the fubuki 73 is more like the Project X 7C3 then, rather than the Alpha? That mean the Alpha plays and feels a tad firmer than the Project X 7C3 then? Only when i started my session with the 910 I put the Project X in and it felt just fab! But as i got warm and obviously my swing loosened and probably sped up a bit, i tended to lose the Project X just a tad. I was thinking of asking for the Project X to be tipped just 1/2 inch to tighten it up just a little, but wondered if the Fubuki Alpha would still give me the feel of the 7C3 but would just bit that tiny bit tighter, not too much tho, as my swing speed is about 105mph, ball speed 156-157mph, so thought the Project X 7B3 would be just a tad too much shaft for me.

Not withstanding trying the Alpha, your thoughts are greatly respected.

    Regards

    Jason

    Thanks for watching!

Well...I wouldn't order anything unless I hit it first.  Based on what you've written...the Project X could be a winner tipped at 1/2".  Plus...off the top of my head it should be cheaper.  You might like the RIP as well.  Take your time with the fitting clubs and take that Project X combo out for a spin on the course.

oh, good god no, i would never order anything without trying it first on the range at least for a good test drive. Yes the Project X has no upcharge, but its not all about money, its about getting it right and to be honest with you Ryan, sadly the customer service in the UK is very poor, and many pro's in the UK don't really know or care about shafts and their fitting properties, its all a bit lax over here Ryan, most pro's over here are just frustrated that they aren't good enough to be out on tour, so standing in a pro shop just frustrates them, most speak to me as tho i am thick, and yet I probably know an awful lot more about shafts and fittings than they do! Put simply, most pro's over here, simply don't care or know how to optimally fit anyone. So trying a 910 out on the course as you rightly advise, is hard for me, as most pro's won't let me sadly. I have sent emails to Titleist in the UK, but without reply as yet, to be honest, most people in this country only seem interested in the money rather than customer care, and come across to me as a little pompous! All I can do is keep trying, or book a trip over to the States, where customer care seems to be up the list of priorities.

    Thanks again

Oh yes I have!!! Lol, I have emailed him today as it happened, I haven't had a reply!! Lol. I have seen his posts on youtube too, and he is 150 miles from me, and I don't drive at the moment, do you think he would post a 910 driver out to me to try for a couple of rounds,as you advise, for me to try at my club then? Lol. probably not eh? I travelled 25 miles to my nearest fitter on saturday on public transport, 3 buses, over two hours! No upgrade shafts in their cart to compare. Obviously a fitter can't have all 80 shafts in their carts, that would be impossible, but if Titleist offer them as an option, there really ought to be the chance to try them, with good accessability for the public. I'm sure I will get around it if I keep trying and persevering, just hope that there isn't a 913 Driver released by the time I get to try a few more options in the 910. Titleist have a great product in the 910 but just think the customer service is a bit lacking over here in the UK in my experience, but as I said, I am determined to try the Fubuki Alpha somehow, all I can do is keep asking Titleist to oblige.

Hi might take a deposit, or advance on a driver that he can design to your spec.  I've had players fly down from as far as Minnesota and Oregon just to spend the day so I know how you feel!

Should people have to travel that far though, just to try out Equipment, thats the point. Actually I have just been in touch with another local surefit account holder, and he doesn't have any Left Handed 910 heads in his cart at all!!! Lol. How do Titleist expect to sell them then?? Haha. Having said that, on a positive note, I have just been in touch with Acushnet UK and spoken to them of my woes, and if I am honest, had a bit of a go at them, but they have asked me to email them with a list of all the heads and shafts I would like to try at a Fitting Day near me on the 23rd February, and they have said they are gonna find out for me if they can honour my needs, So that sound positive, Just waiting for a reply now! So hope they get back to me asap. Fingers crossed eh??

    Hi Ryan.

Mixed results from Titleist, the good news is that they got back to me as promised, a good start, secondly, all the LEFT HAND heads will be at the fitting Day in both 910 D2 and D3 and also all the heads in Left hand for the fairways and hybrids! so think thats good news. On the negative side, only 1 of the 7 shafts I wanted to try would be at the fitting day! So thats not so good and without the shafts I would like to try, the positivity of having all the heads there is negated and pretty useless to me, however, I have emailed the fitting guys who do the fitting days and asked them if they could compromise, and help me out a bit by at least putting a couple of the desired shafts on the fitting van. I am hoping they will help me out a bit.

I thought i would try Titleist this year, as I liked the products for 2011 a bit more, but I am having a bad experience at the moment. But as I said, i really want to give Acushnet a chance to help me, so all is not lost I hope, its not over til the fat lady swings, and if Titleist could just come up with a couple more shaft options for me for the fitting day, I will happily stick with Titleist. If not tho mate, gotta look elsewhere sadly. But I'm positive bout things and sure that Titleist will help me out.
