i received the new d3 9.5 w/ project x 73g 6.0 tip stiff for xmas I have had a proforce v2 76g, stiff, torque 2.2 in my old 909d3 and 905r, my swing speed avg. is 105. How will this project x compare?

Hi Todd
I have just got back from trying out the 910, my SS is similar to yours and I found the Project X 7c3 to feel very good, its smooth yet stable, you can feel wger the head is through the swing, and was my favourite shaft out of the very few that was on my local pro's cart. Thr project X wasn't boardy or harsh at all in fact if i went with this option, i would probably ask for it to be tipped, but only 1/2 an inch as i don't want to lose its feel but just want to tighten things up that little bit. As I said my SS is about 105mph too. Tried the RIP but it wasn't for me, nor was the made for Ahina or made for Kaili, i am having to wait another 6 weeks before a demo dat at my local club to try out the more exotic shafts, but it would have to be pretty special for me to kick out the Project X, bearing in mind there is no upcharge,
do want to try the Fubuki Alpha and a few of the exotic shafts on offer before I make my final decision, but as I said, with no upcharge, the Project X is 7c3 is very much top of the list for me at the moment. As i said tho maybe 1/2 inch tipped, the 7b3 maybe just too much shaft for me I would think.
Hope this maybe of help to you mate??

I've actually been testing this shaft myself since I love the Project X in my irons.
The driver shaft has more torque than your trusty V2 shaft. Could feel better, could feel softer. Might help minimize left shots. It all depends when you test it your self!

I actually just went from the 909D2 w/ Proforce V2 76 X-stiff to the 910D3 w/ the Project X 7C3 Stiff flex. I was a little concerned going with more torque and hitting left shots but that hasn't been an issue. I absolutely love the feel and responsiveness with this shaft and have had no concerns with more torque than the Proforce V2. I suggest trying it out with a Titleist Fitter to see if you like it before buying though.
